- Associate Professors – 11 vacancies
- Assistant Professors – 12 vacancies
- Assistant Professors (Contractual) – 4 vacancies
Eligibility Requirements for the Gauhati University Professor vacancies
Educational Requisites:
- Professors/ Associate Professors: The Applicants must hold a PhD Degree in the respective speciality or the Master’s Degree in the concerned field.
- Assistant Professors: The Applicants must hold a Master’s Degree in the respective disciplines and also need to qualify the National Eligibility Test (NET) or the SLET/ SET in an appropriate discipline.
Experience Required for the Recruitment:
- Professors: ten / thirteen years (whichever applicable).
- Associate Professors: five/ eight years (whichever applicable)
Selection Process for the Gauhati University Guwahati Recruitment 2016
The shortlisted applicants will be selected based on the performance in a Personal Interview, which will be organised by the selection board.
