Punjab School Education Board was established in the year 1969, November 25 under the legislative act of the Government of the Punjab with the objective of the curriculum taught in Public School in the Punjab state. Its headquarters is at SAS Nagar near Chandigarh. Punjab School Education Board has following branches namely; Academic branch, Establishment, conduct, secrecy, and Punjab open school, computer center, P.R.O and various branches. This board conducts recruitment to hire teachers. The eligibility criteria required by the candidates is that the maximum age shall be 27 years as on 1st January 2015 and with the education qualification of a graduation degree in any recognized university with the relevant subject in each year and must have passed Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET 2). The selection process of Punjab Master Cadre Teacher Recruitment 2016 will be done based on the written examination. An application fee of Rs. 700/- has to be paid by the General candidates and an application fee of Rs. 350/- has to be paid by SC/ST candidates.
