Staff Selection Commission was formed on 4th November 1975 under Department of Personnel and Training. Staff Selection commission every year conducts an examination to appoint the talent candidate in their various departments. The main function of SSC is to conduct examinations and interviews, wherever required, for recruitment to the posts within our purview. The examinations are held as far as possible at different centers and successful candidates posted, to the extent possible, to their home state/region. Its mission is to fulfill staff vacancies in diverse ministries and departments in Indian Government and also in subordinate offices as well.
